Data Engineer – AI Projects

Job Description

The Role

You will design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines and architectures to support AI and ML projects. Working closely with data scientists, analysts and cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure seamless data integration, accessibility, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows
• Design and implement data solutions using Snowflake and cloud platforms
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs to enhance data relationships and insights
• Develop reusable, scalable data solutions using Python
• Ensure data quality, integrity and security
• Troubleshoot and optimise data performance
• Support AI/ML workflows and integration

About You

You will bring:

• Strong experience with Snowflake (including DBT)
• Experience with knowledge graph technologies (e.g. Neo4j, RDF or similar)
• Strong Python skills (Pandas, PySpark, NumPy etc.)
• Exposure to AI/ML workflows
• Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude or similar)
• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL and cloud data platforms
• Experience across public and private sector environments (highly regarded)
