Data Engineer

Job Description

Requirements:

• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, and data transformations
• Experience investigating complex data sets to identify logical flaws, inconsistencies, or unexpected patterns in the absence of a known ground truth.
• Experience with data modeling, especially dimensional modeling and star schemas
• Solid experience with Snowflake and cloud‑based data warehousing concepts
• Strong background in data engineering, particularly ETL/ELT development
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and help create clarity where needed
• A proactive mindset – you naturally look for issues before they escalate and push through hurdles with persistence
• Strong communication skills and willingness to engage, contribute ideas, and collaborate with the team
• Curiosity and a desire to understand the business context behind the data, even if it’s not your strongest area yet- Problem-Solving
• Very proactive
• Strong communication (Over-communication)

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in hybrid analytics/reporting tools roles / Exposure to BI tools or analytics workflows
• Apache airflow knowledge
• Familiarity with internal data governance frameworks or enterprise data management processes
