Cyber Security Engineer/Architect 

Job Description

Role Summary :
The Cyber Security Engineer/Architect role designs, implements, and governs security controls across enterprise platforms, automated processes, and incident response capabilities.

This role blends hands-on engineering with architecture, risk, and operational leadership to ensure security solutions are resilient, auditable, and aligned with enterprise risk tolerance.

Key Responsibilities :

– Design and implement security architecture patterns and architecture documentation across data protection applications, automation platforms, and infrastructure as a part of the enterprise pipeline.

– Embed security requirements into solution design, automation intake, and delivery lifecycles.

– Support detection, investigation, and response to security incidents in partnership with SOC and cyber defense teams.

– Improve security data protection response speed and effectiveness through tooling, automation, and workflow optimization.

– Ensure security controls align with audit, regulatory, records-management, and resiliency requirements.

– Define monitoring, logging, and alerting requirements to detect misuse, failures, or anomalous behavior.

– Provide architecture and engineering guidance during incidents, risk assessments, and control reviews.

– Partner with risk, compliance, audit, and technology teams to support examinations and assurance activities.

– Evaluate emerging automation and AI capabilities for security impact and alignment with enterprise risk tolerance.

– Act as a security advisor to business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications :

– 2 to 5+ years of experience in security engineering, security architecture, application security, or cyber defense roles.

– Strong understanding of data protection, cybersecurity and secure system design.

– Experience working in regulated environments with audit and compliance requirements.

– Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred :

– Cybersecurity certifications. (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, others)

– Experience with Cyera, DTEX, Microsoft Purview, Netskope, other data protection products
