Cyber Security Engineer

Required Skills and Experience :

– Having 5+ Years of experience in Akamai for Microsegmentation

– Continuously monitor traffic flows and policy violations using Guardicore’s visualization tools.

– Tune segmentation policies based on observed behaviour, threat intelligence, and compliance requirements.

– Ensure proactive alerting and response to unauthorized communication attempts

– Act as L3 SME for micro segmentation-related incidents within the CDC (Cyber Defense Center) operations model

– Collaborate with SOC, SIEM, and WAF teams to correlate alerts and enforce containment strategies.

– Support 24×7 on-call operations for critical incident response and policy enforcement

– Participate in governance forums and SLA reviews to report on segmentation coverage, policy effectiveness, and incident metrics

– Provide documentation and evidence for audits, including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and internal security assessments

– Contribute to CXO dashboards and Power BI reporting on segmentation posture

– Work with OS, application, and network engineers to define protection boundaries and validate enforcement logic

– Support onboarding of new applications and workloads into the segmentation framework.

– Assist in cross-skilling initiatives and knowledge transfer to L2/L3 SOC teams

Preferred Skills and Experience :

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or other related fields

– Experience with workload, server, network architectures and associated security controls Akamai for Microsegmentation
