Cyber Security Analyst

Job Description

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Security monitoring of the NT Governments IT infrastructure and systems; providing expert advice on data and cyber security and

current cyber threats.
2. Procure, design, implement and manage security toolsets and infrastructure.
3. Undertake security risk assessments and reviews into new and existing systems and infrastructure in the NT Government and

prepare quality technical reports including identification of security risks and recommendations.
4. Act as the NTG Incident Controller and exercise relevant delegation to ensure a timely response and management of cyber

incidents.
5. Represent DCDD and the NTG on Cyber Security matters in various forums both internal and external to government including at

a national level.
6. Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key agency, public, and industry stakeholders, contributing to the

development of and compliance to policies and standards relating to Cyber Security.
7. Actively participate in cyber security related project activities as required.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Expert knowledge of incident management, risk assessment and mitigation strategies relevant to Cyber Security.
2. Expert knowledge of contemporary Cyber Security processes, procedures, policies and frameworks.
3. High level knowledge of ICT project management frameworks, methodologies, tools and processes.
4. Demonstrated ability to critically analyse issues, undertake risk assessments and clearly articulate complex concepts based on

specialist knowledge acquired through formal training or extensive work experience in Cyber Security.
5. Ability to influence and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,
