Job Description

We’re seeking a Creative Director who thrives on making bold ideas actionable. This is not a role for someone who wants to “oversee visuals” or “refine brand voice” in a vacuum. You’ll be responsible for steering the creative identity of a company that doesn’t sit quietly in its category. If you can synthesize shifting strategy, fragmented feedback, and limited timelines into a visual and narrative output that still makes people pause—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the creative vision and execution across campaigns, digital products, content, and environmental design
  • Translate strategic business objectives into compelling brand stories and visuals
  • Lead internal brainstorms that don’t spiral into chaos or cliché
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Growth, Product, and Sales to ensure consistency and adaptability of brand assets across use cases
  • Evaluate and manage external creative partners (agencies, photographers, animators, etc.)
  • Present concepts to executive leadership with clarity, confidence, and rationale grounded in strategy
  • Guide creative reviews with precision—diagnosing what isn’t working and articulating why
  • Balance hands-on execution with leadership—jumping into the file when needed without eclipsing your team

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a Creative Director or senior creative leadership role
  • A portfolio that goes beyond aesthetics to show conceptual depth, systems thinking, and business impact
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across design, copy, and content
  • Track record of launching integrated campaigns that resonate with specific audiences (not just mass reach)
  • Strong creative instincts paired with strategic thinking—you’re comfortable pivoting when objectives evolve
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity, prioritizing focus, and managing creative processes across departments
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills—you know how to get buy-in without diluting the work
  • Comfortable building processes that are lightweight but effective—nothing bloated, nothing aimless

Bonus (Not Required, But Valued)

  • Experience building or evolving a brand system from scratch
  • Background in motion design, editorial, or experiential
  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Understanding of performance marketing creative without defaulting to trend-chasing
