Job Description
We’re seeking a Creative Director with a proven ability to turn ambiguity into compelling creative strategy, and strategy into powerful visual and narrative outcomes. This is not a role for someone looking to just “manage creatives”—we want a builder with vision who is as comfortable shaping brand voice as they are dissecting film treatments, who can lead large-scale campaigns one day and refine design systems the next. You’ll head a multidisciplinary team of designers, writers, video producers, and freelancers to define and evolve our brand’s presence across digital, physical, and experiential platforms. The ideal candidate has led creative work at high-growth brands or agencies, thrives on tension between storytelling and performance, and sees brand as a strategic asset, not just a veneer.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the creative vision for the brand—visually, verbally, experientially.
- Lead integrated campaigns across product launches, seasonal moments, and brand initiatives.
- Guide the development of creative concepts, from inception through execution across formats: video, print, digital, social, out-of-home, and environmental.
- Manage and mentor a team of in-house creatives (design, copy, video) while building relationships with external collaborators (agencies, directors, photographers).
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Executive teams to ensure creative work aligns with broader business goals.
- Evaluate creative effectiveness using both qualitative storytelling judgment and quantitative performance metrics.
- Enforce a high bar for craft, pushing toward originality and emotional resonance without losing strategic clarity.
- Advocate for the brand internally and externally—whether pitching to executives or presenting to external partners.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in creative roles, including at least 3 years in a senior or director-level position, ideally within a fast-paced consumer brand, media company, or creative agency.
- Portfolio that demonstrates a strong mix of brand storytelling, campaign execution, and team leadership.
- Fluent in the language of design, copy, and video—able to give clear, constructive feedback across disciplines.
- Deep understanding of cultural trends and how they intersect with brand expression.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapid change—able to make smart decisions with imperfect information.
- Experience with both brand and performance creative; understands how to balance narrative with business outcomes.
- Highly collaborative, ego-free, and capable of both inspiring a team and rolling up sleeves when needed.
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence—can sell ideas and explain the “why” behind them.
