Job Description

Job Summary:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Concept Artist who can visualize and design environments, characters, and props with a focus on narrative context, architectural plausibility, and visual tone. This role is critical in shaping the visual language of our upcoming IPs and requires an artist who can bridge imaginative worldbuilding with grounded design thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Art Directors and Narrative Designers to create compelling concept art that supports gameplay and storytelling.
• Design immersive environments, characters, and architectural elements that demonstrate an understanding of cultural context, material language, and spatial logic.
• Generate quick thumbnails to explore ideas rapidly, then develop select concepts into polished, presentable key art.
• Translate narrative beats into visual metaphors or storyboards that aid in cinematic direction and level design.
• Create detailed orthographic views and callouts for 3D modeling and texturing teams.
• Participate in visual development discussions and critique sessions, contributing constructively to team progress.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience in games, film, or animation with a strong portfolio showing design versatility and worldbuilding depth.
• Demonstrable ability to construct believable environments with atmospheric depth, architectural intent, and modular design thinking.
• Proficiency in Photoshop or equivalent painting tools; strong familiarity with 3D tools (Blender, ZBrush, or similar) for paintovers and block-ins.
• Solid grasp of lighting, composition, and cinematic framing.
• Strong draftsmanship and ability to ideate visually in both line and value.
• Experience working with narrative teams to interpret lore and character arcs into visual design elements.
• Ability to pivot styles depending on project direction, from grounded realism to stylized abstraction.
