Job Description
The Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, high-availability Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless environments across all corporate offices, including Hampton East (VIC), Mermaid Beach (QLD), and Dubai.
- Implement advanced networking technologies and configure routers, firewalls, and network switches to prioritise high-bandwidth traffic, ensuring seamless VoIP communication.
- Create, update, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including network inventories, configuration change logs, maintenance procedures, and fault resolution records.
- Design and deploy network configurations, incorporating high-availability routing protocols, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Quality of Service (QoS) rules, and secure site-to-site VPN tunnels.
- Implement SoftwareDefined Networking (SDN) and develop programmatic, APIdriven workflows across network hardware using automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and RESTful integrations to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
- Monitor and analyse network traffic, capacity, and utilisation metrics, and evaluate endtoend network infrastructure performance across all corporate office locations.
- Evaluate and propose technical enhancements to network operations, interconnected server infrastructure, internal hardware, distributed PropTech applications, and hybrid operational environments.
- Optimise 4K media-rendering architectures and secure localised Network attached Storage (NAS) configurations, improving internal high-volume data-pipeline workflows for the marketing division.
- Oversee network and system configurations to ensure smooth data flows between real estate-specific APIs, external listing syndications (e.g., Realestate.com.au, Domain), and internal master CRMs.
- Provision, test, and deploy complex server networks, cloud systems (Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory / Entra ID), and endpoint systems using modern Mobile Device Management (MDM) software.
- Formulate comprehensive testing strategies to validate network throughput, failover systems, and server redundancy, ensuring the agency maintains its strict zero-downtime metric during business hours.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and fault-finding services to isolate, diagnose, and resolve intricate network bugs, hardware failures, system anomalies, or cross-platform software conflicts.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, networks, software, database applications, servers, and workstations, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and maintaining high service standards.
- Actively contribute to ZED Real Estate’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) by supporting the implementation and upkeep of its policies, procedures and controls, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in alignment with ISO/IEC 27001.
- Design and execute network security baselines, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Zero-Trust conditional access rules, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and advanced endpoint detection systems.
- Architect and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) lifecycle workflows to enforce continuous security baselines across automated user onboarding and offboarding frameworks.
- Create, test, and preserve robust data backup structures, comprehensive disaster recovery workflows, and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to secure sensitive real estate escrow accounts and high-net-worth data.
The Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related ICT Major.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or ICT Systems Administrator in a corporate setting
- Professional infrastructure certifications are highly regarded (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+).
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience of core networking models and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, VPN, switching, routing).
- At least 5 years experience managing corporate directory platforms and infrastructure identities (Microsoft cloud technologies, including Microsoft 365, Entra and Intune).
- Must have over 5 years’ experience to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
- Must know how to setup virtual configurations in VMWare vSphere and Hyper-V
- At least 5 years of experience with server virtualisation, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid integration projects.
- Strong analytical skills and sound administration skills
- Quick to grasp new ideas and concepts
