Responsibilities

Community & Delegate Acquisition

• Identify and invite relevant industry professionals to attend w.media events in Japan.
• Engage potential delegates through email, LinkedIn, phone and other communication channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with professionals across the data center, cloud, AI, technology and digital infrastructure sectors.
• Support delegate registration and follow up with confirmed participants before events.
• Help grow and maintain w.media’s Japan industry database and community.

Sales Support

• Research potential sponsors, exhibitors and business prospects.
• Assist the Sales team with lead generation and prospect identification.
• Help arrange sales meetings and introductions with prospective clients.
• Support follow-up communications with sponsors and partners.
• Maintain accurate sales activities, contacts and opportunities within the CRM system.
• Assist with preparation of proposals, presentations and client materials when required.

Marketing Support

• Support event marketing campaigns through email, social media and direct outreach.
• Help promote speakers, sponsors, event programmes and registration campaigns.
• Assist with Japanese localisation of marketing materials and communications.
• Identify relevant industry associations, communities and media partners.
• Support community engagement activities before, during and after events.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of working experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Native or business-level Japanese language ability.
• Good spoken and written English for communication with regional and international colleagues.
• Comfortable communicating with professionals by email, LinkedIn and phone.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Interest in technology, events, media, sales or marketing is an advantage.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot is an advantage but not required.
