Commercial Technology Solicitor

Job Description

Responsibilities :

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial technology contracts, SaaS agreements, software licensing deals, and cloud services agreements
• Advise on AI governance frameworks, responsible AI obligations, and compliance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
• Support technology procurement exercises, vendor due diligence, and outsourcing arrangements
• Provide legal guidance on digital transformation programmes, agile delivery, and technology platform transitions
• Advise on intellectual property rights, data ownership, and software escrow arrangements
• Review and negotiate master services agreements (MSAs), statements of work, and service level agreements
• Conduct legal risk assessments on emerging technology initiatives including GenAI, cloud migration, and API integration projects
• Support in-house legal teams and C-suite executives with commercial legal guidance on technology matters
• Stay current with developments in UK and EU technology law, AI regulation, and digital compliance requirements
• Mentor junior legal professionals and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the practiceWhat We Are Looking For:
• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with strong commercial technology law expertise
• Experience at a leading law firm or in-house technology or financial services legal team
• Deep knowledge of SaaS, cloud, AI, and data protection legal frameworks
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills
