Job Description

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to ensure engineering teams can deploy quickly and safely.
• Write, deploy, and manage Infrastructure as Code utilising Terraform.
• Integrate DevSecOps guardrails directly into the software development process.
• Work extensively with containerisation and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to enable self-recovery and dynamic scaling.
• Act as a crucial escalation point for complex cloud infrastructure and platform issues.

Skills

• Proven commercial experience engineering within AWS environments (AWS Certifications are highly regarded).
• Strong, hands-on experience with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Java, or PowerShell) alongside real-world containerisation experience (Docker/Kubernetes).
• A firm understanding of cloud security, firewalls, and frameworks such as OWASP or Essential 8.
• Experience with, or a strong interest in, AI-assisted coding workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
