Key Responsibilities :

– Serve as a dependable Developer & Engineer, relied upon by the team to tackle complex challenges, implement automation solutions, and validate abstract concepts.

– Establish and maintain sustainable application, engineering, and operational standards for long-term effectiveness.

– Troubleshoot intricate cases, particularly those encompassing cloud, system, and network issues, extending support to other teams as needed.

– Facilitate cross-departmental understanding and adoption of our cloud operating model and services.

– Strategize designs with a focus on scalability, resilience, cost-effectiveness, security, and maintainability.

– Stay abreast of new services from AWS, Azure, and GCP, swiftly acquiring proficiency in their utilization.

– Contribute to a diverse array of innovative Cloud use cases.

– Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, and other services

– Ensure database performance, security, and availability across cloud environments

– Design, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery strategies

– Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance

– Troubleshoot cloud and database issues, ensuring timely resolutions

– Collaborate with development and operations teams for cloud deployments

– Develop code-assets and tools to expedite cloud projects.

– Advocate for automation, actively seeking to alleviate operational burdens through software solutions, including automating manual processes and enhancing issue detection and mitigation.

– Collaborate with application development teams to create new cloud-hosted services.

– Engage with internal and external service providers to design and implement cloud data systems within the BMS cloud environment.

– Educate and train teams on relevant topics.

– Document, design, and build automation tools and APIs to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

– Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

– Experience : 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud computing and database administration

– Skills : Proficient in AWS services, database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), and cloud architecture

– Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills

– Problem-Solving : Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

– Teamwork : Collaborative and able to work effectively in a team environment
