Job Description

Role Overview

The Cloud Advisor provides strategic and technical leadership across Azure and multi-cloud environments (AWS, OCI), focusing on cloud architecture, governance, and FinOps optimisation. This role is critical in driving cloud strategy, cost efficiency, and secure, scalable enterprise solutions within System Integration.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Advisory

  • Provide expert guidance on Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones, including tenancy, IAM, network topology, and security.
  • Design and advise on multi-cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and OCI, including Oracle Database @ Azure.
  • Translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.

FinOps & Cost Optimisation

  • Establish and lead FinOps practices across cloud platforms.
  • Drive cloud cost governance, spend visibility, and optimisation strategies.
  • Implement and manage tools such as Azure FinOps Hubs.

Program Delivery

  • Lead and support complex cloud programs, including migrations and optimisation initiatives.
  • Define priorities, manage risks, and ensure high-quality delivery outcomes.

Leadership & Governance

  • Provide technical leadership across programs and teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and policy frameworks.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation in cross-agency initiatives and support cloud adoption.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, including Landing Zones, IAM, networking, and security.
  • Experience working in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI).
  • Proven ability to implement and optimise FinOps practices.
  • Experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation programs (migration, optimisation).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking (routing & switching).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make high-impact decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant cloud certifications (Azure/AWS preferred)
