Chief Technology Officer – Data Engineering

Description :

– Technology Leadership

– Define and execute the company’s technology and data strategy

– Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team

– Stay ahead of trends in data analytics, AI/ML, and cloud technologies

Data & Analytics Strategy :

– Build and scale a robust data analytics infrastructure

– Oversee data engineering, data warehousing, and BI systems

– Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization

– Ensure data quality, governance, and security

Team Building & Management :

– Hire, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering and data teams

– Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning

– Establish best practices in software development and analytics

Architecture & Development :

– Design scalable and secure data platforms and pipelines

– Oversee development of analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting systems

– Ensure high system availability, performance, and reliability

Stakeholder Collaboration :

– Work closely with product, business, and operations teams

– Translate business needs into technical solutions

– Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications :

– Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (MBA is a plus)

– 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles

– Strong background in data analytics, big data, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

– Proven experience building and scaling data platforms and engineering teams

– Expertise in data architecture, ETL pipelines, and BI tools

– Experience with AI/ML frameworks and data-driven product development

Preferred Skills :

– Experience in startup or high-growth environments

– Knowledge of modern data stack (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.)

– Strong understanding of data governance and compliance

– Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
