Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Core Strategy & Growth Plans

• Partner closely with the Co-CEOs to develop Eat Up’s core strategic growth plans and define clear organisational objectives and key results.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend high-impact expansion opportunities across metro and regional areas.
• Ensure shared efficiencies across the Metro and Community-led models, integrating the Spoonfull In-school model to create powerful operational synergies.
• Direct the planning, coordination, and implementation of core program delivery projects based on geographic waitlists, logistical capacity, and ICSEA data.
• Proactively identify and manage operational risks in strict alignment with Eat Up’s risk management frameworks.

Operational & Program Delivery

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of Eat Up’s Metro and Community-led operations to ensure they run efficiently, effectively, and with maximum impact.
• Provide Operations Heads with clear guidance regarding growth forecasting, new pilot projects, and crucial infrastructure support like procurement and logistics.
• Maintain, track, and optimise critical operational data (volumes, forecasts, and in-kind supplies) utilising Salesforce.
• Optimise procurement pipelines, nurture essential in-kind supply relationships, and manage capital assets like cool rooms and delivery vans.
• Pioneer long-term, post-2027 strategic expansion plans for both metro van models and regional communities to deepen food security impact.

People, Culture & Leadership

• Direct, inspire, and support three direct reports: the Head of Metro Operations, the Head of Community Operations, and the HR Coordinator.
• Foster a highly connected, value-driven remote work culture where an environment of open, two-way feedback is actively encouraged.
• Oversee efficient end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and relevant policy frameworks that keep staff safe, compliant, and deeply connected to the cause.
• Implement Eat Up’s Performance and Professional Development Management Framework, utilising regular 1:1 sessions to champion continuous staff growth.
• Coordinate major team engagement milestones, including the biennial All-Team In-Person Meeting.

Funding & Stakeholder Support

• Collaborate actively with the funding team to identify program gaps, cover core costs, expand reach, and fuel deeper community impact.
• Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy & Impact and the Grants team to supply data for compelling applications and rigorous acquittals.
• Ensure sustainable stakeholder management frameworks are established for ongoing, warm communications with partner schools and volunteer networks.
• Enforce rigorous compliance, volunteer agreements, safety checklists, and up-to-date insurance documentation for all workplace sessions.

Selection Criteria 

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant certifications in operations, supply chain, or logistics are highly desirable.
• 10+ years of proven operations and logistics management experience, ideally bringing seasoned expertise in supply chain and facilities management.
