CAD Technician / Junior Estimator & Programmer
Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a motivated individual with strong CAD skills who is keen to grow into a broader role involving:
- Quoting and estimating for laser cutting and fabrication projects
- Programming jobs for laser cutting and press brake operations
- Liaising with clients and production teams to ensure job specifications are met
- Supporting continuous improvement in accuracy, efficiency, and customer service
This is a great opportunity to build on your technical design knowledge while learning practical, in-demand skills in a growing Australian business.
About You
You will bring:
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- A keen interest in manufacturing processes and materials, particularly sheet metal
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- A willingness to learn quoting systems and machine programming tools (training provided)
