C# Software Engineer (Back office Systems)

What You Will Do

Every day, you will be part of a team delivering strategic projects by:

• Integrating sophisticated coding techniques to design and optimize high-performance systems that process large volumes of trading data, post trade and execution orders.
• Applying expertise in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and architectural concepts to develop robust and scalable solutions to help produce and deliver clear and concise reports needed for compliance, reporting and regulatory reasons.
• Designing, developing, and implementing client/server applications using C#, SQL, and databases (such as Oracle).
• Leading projects through the entire software development cycle from requirements gathering to production release.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Trading, Ops, and Compliance) to diagnose and solve both technical and business problems.

What’s Needed
This is a key technical role, and we are looking for someone with at least:

• At least 5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record in C# and a deep understanding of Object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Similar experience building out back office/accounting systems that are either bespoke or platforms like MYOB or Xero
• Expertise in working with databases, strong command of SQL, and experience in software testing strategies (Oracle etc).
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders up to and including C-Suite (CFO).
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, along with some sort of financial/accounting study.
