Business Software Developer – Level 2

Job Description

The Position

We are looking for a passionate Software Developer to join our supportive Business Software Development Team.

As the Business Software Developer – Level 2, you will work with our experienced Business Software Development Team to develop custom web-based applications for internal company use. You will implement emerging requests, redevelop legacy features, triage software and data issues, and maintain critical business functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake in-house end user applications development including database design and software support in accordance with management provided priorities and guidance.

• Undertake informal requirements analysis in support of applications development.

• Time management of prioritised tasking, with occasional guidance.

• Provide support, maintenance and training services to users of developed applications (via phone, direct, email).

Our Ideal Candidate

• Proven .NET and ASP.NET MVC development skills.

• Proven HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills.

• Proven database design and SQL skills, with ORM experience an advantage.

• Focused on quality and testing.

• Approachable by users and understanding of their needs.

• An inquisitive nature. Researches a feature before implementation.

• Ability to comprehend legacy code and occasionally develop for backwards compatibility.

• Practical business programming experience or relevant tertiary qualification.
