Job Description
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who thrives on translating operational chaos into crisp, actionable dashboards and decision frameworks. This isn’t a “build a few charts in Tableau and call it a day” role. You’ll be embedded in our growth and operations teams, building data models that tie product usage, revenue attribution, and customer engagement into a single story.
We want someone who doesn’t just pull the numbers but interrogates them — someone who can identify signal from noise and guide the team away from vanity metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using dbt and Snowflake, supporting weekly exec-level reporting.
- Build and optimize interactive dashboards in Looker that provide drill-downs into revenue churn, cohort behavior, and channel efficiency.
- Define and maintain core business metrics across product, finance, and marketing stakeholders to ensure data consistency and single source of truth.
- Run ad hoc deep dives using SQL/Python to investigate behavioral trends, product feature usage, or anomalies in customer acquisition cost (CAC).
- Partner with Product and Growth teams to A/B test new feature releases and onboarding flows, delivering post-test insights with statistical rigor.
- Create clear documentation of metrics logic, assumptions, and query structure for internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- 3+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data science in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Advanced SQL skills — window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and the ability to write clean, modular queries.
- Proficiency with Looker (LookML experience preferred), dbt, and Snowflake or Redshift.
- Experience analyzing multi-touch attribution models and channel-level ROI (especially paid acquisition, lifecycle email, and organic growth).
- A strong grasp of data governance and the importance of clear metric definitions across teams.
- The ability to synthesize and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders without watering down nuance.
Bonus if You Have
- Experience working with event tracking tools like Segment, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
- Familiarity with Python for data wrangling and basic statistical modeling (e.g., cohort survival analysis, linear regression).
- Previous exposure to subscription-based or SaaS business models.
