Your new role
As a Business Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping and enabling large-scale transformation initiatives within complex operating environments. Working within agile delivery settings, you will bridge strategy, policy intent, and operational execution—ensuring that business design translates into practical, implementable outcomes.
This role goes beyond traditional architectural documentation. You will operate as a hands-on, delivery-focused practitioner, embedding yourself within multidisciplinary teams to influence design decisions in real time and ensure alignment between organisational priorities and service delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the development of business architecture artefacts to support problem definition, solution design, and decision-making
• Defining current and future state capabilities, value streams, and operating models aligned to strategic priorities
• Embedding architectural thinking into agile/sprint delivery to guide design, sequencing, and delivery outcomes
• Identifying interdependencies, risks, and impacts across people, process, technology, and information domains
• Engaging broadly with stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose
• Supporting roadmap development and transition planning to enable sustainable implementation
• Ensuring design coherence across multiple initiatives within evolving, complex environments
• ideal for someone who can operate at the intersection of strategy, design, and delivery, with a focus on influencing real-world outcomes rather than producing static artefacts.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring strong business architecture capability combined with adaptability and delivery focus:

• Demonstrated experience applying business architecture thinking to complex, ambiguous problems
• Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable design and delivery outcomes
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to identify system-wide impacts and interdependencies
• Experience working autonomously and exercising sound judgement in evolving environments
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Experience working within agile or sprint-based delivery environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across operational and senior levels
