About the Role
We’re looking for a Brand Identity Designer who doesn’t just design logos, but builds narrative systems. If you’re someone who can take a half-baked vision and evolve it into a compelling, visual language that scales from product packaging to investor decks—this is your role. You’ll collaborate closely with product marketing, motion, and UX teams to define how our brand feels across all touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document core brand elements: logomark, typography, grid systems, iconography, and motion principles (in collaboration with our motion designer).
- Translate abstract business positioning into tangible brand visuals that communicate clearly and memorably.
- Build and maintain an adaptive brand design system in Figma (component libraries, use cases, usage guidelines).
- Create real-world brand mockups that go beyond slides—think packaging, signage, UI integrations, wearable items.
- Partner with external vendors (printers, signage fabricators, illustrators) to ensure brand fidelity from screen to physical execution.
- Lead periodic brand reviews and evolve brand assets based on product shifts, competitive landscape, or audience feedback.
Requirements
- 4–6 years experience in brand or identity design, preferably with both in-house and agency background.
- Strong portfolio showing identity systems in action—not just isolated logos, but usage across formats and environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe CC; After Effects or Webflow knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable articulating your design thinking to stakeholders who may not speak design fluently.
- Experience working with founders, CMOs, or brand strategists to shape a visual language from a positioning statement or brand archetype.
- Understands how brand intersects with marketing performance, product adoption, and audience perception.
Bonus If You:
- Have experience designing for emerging formats (e.g., XR, voice UI, AI interfaces).
- Have contributed to naming, tone of voice, or messaging alongside visual design.
- Have developed brand governance frameworks for companies scaling from Series A to Series D.
