Senior Back End Developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, creating simple and secure solutions, and contributing to a strong engineering culture. 

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of scalable backend systems using Python, GraphQL and PostgreSQL
• Shape API design, data models and integration patterns across a suite of digital products
• Set and champion backend best practice including testing, performance and security
• Mentor developers and support a collaborative, high performing team environment
• Translate business and product needs into clear technical solutions
• Participate in agile ceremonies and complete code reviews that lift team quality

 About You

You are a confident Senior Engineer who enjoys working on complex backend challenges, partnering closely with Product, UX and engineering peers. You take pride in high quality code, clear communication and contributing to a supportive team culture. 

Experience & Skills That Count

• Strong commercial experience with Python, API development and backend architectures
• Practical experience with GraphQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL)
• Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable and reliable backend solutions
• Experience mentoring others and contributing to coding standards
• Comfortable working in cross functional squads with Product and UX

Nice to have: experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments and microservices.
