Java Back End Developers
We’re working with a large enterprise delivery partner on a major digital uplift program within the financial services sector. Due to increased demand, we’re looking to engage multiple Back End Developers Developers to support the build and enhancement of modern, customer facing platforms.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building and operating backend services using Java within a microservices architecture
• Developing and consuming high-performance, resilient APIs in a distributed systems environment
• Building and maintaining cloud-native services on AWS or Azure
• Contributing to front end features using React and TypeScript where required (approximately 30% of the role)
• Working within modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code
• Collaborating closely with product, platform, and API teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
• Actively contributing to code quality, system reliability, and continuous improvement across the platform

What we’re looking for

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and backend development in microservices-based architectures
• Solid experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
• Proven experience working in AWS or Azure cloud environments
• Some front end experience with React and TypeScript (to support full lifecycle delivery)
• Experience working in large-scale, complex or regulated environments
• Banking or financial services experience preferred but not mandatory
