Back End Developer

Job Description

What you’ll work on

• Build AI-focused backend services primarily in Python
• Design robust APIs for agent workflows (tool calling, memory/state, retrieval pipelines)
• Implement streaming backends (SSE / WebSockets) and async event-driven systems
• Develop agent orchestration frameworks and evaluation pipelines
• Ensure production reliability through logging, tracing, observability, and guardrails
• Collaborate with the backend lead while owning the AI platform layer

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years backend engineering experience
• Strong Python and distributed systems experience
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs / AI agents
• Tool calling
• Orchestration
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Evaluation frameworks
• Experience operating production systems with strong observability and reliability practices
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval pipelines
