Azure DevOps Engineer 

Job Description

 
Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services including virtual machines, networks, storage, and related infrastructure components.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including the development and enhancement of BICEP modules and IaC templates for the Azure Landing Zone framework.
• Ensure Azure environments meet strict security and compliance standards while setting up monitoring solutions to proactively detect, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and availability issues.
• Support migration initiatives into the Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zone Framework, including on-premises and legacy workload transitions, while continuously assessing opportunities to optimize resources, control costs, and improve efficiency.
• Produce detailed technical documentation and deliver training to internal teams and partners on Azure best practices, solution design, and operational procedures.

 
Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure support/administration with extensive hands-on work across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 in hybrid cloud environments, including networking, governance, and security.
• Proven background as a Senior Azure Engineer or Cloud Technical Lead, with experience designing, managing, and optimising Azure-based solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
• 3+ years’ experience developing automation solutions leveraging Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, BICEP), with strong knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and DevOps methodologies.
• Skilled in application readiness assessment, environment prototyping, server builds, data migration, performance tuning, cost optimisation, patching, and security to support large-scale cloud adoption programs.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, and Azure Solution Architect Expert (desirable), with specialist expertise as an Azure Infrastructure SME and strong security focus.
