Azure Data Engineer
Job Description
What You’ll Do :
– Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data solutions across ingestion, processing, and analytics layers
– Provide technical leadership to data engineers, including design guidance, code reviews, and best practices
– Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure data services
– Own and optimize data platforms built on Microsoft Azure and Snowflake
– Ensure data pipelines meet standards for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
– Act as the primary technical point of contact for data-related initiatives
– Collaborate with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
– Drive data modelling standards and consistency across data assets
– Support data governance, quality, monitoring, and operational excellence
– Troubleshoot complex data issues and guide root-cause analysis
– Contribute to roadmap planning, estimations, and delivery commitments.
Expertise You’ll Bring :
– 6 to 12 years of experience in Data Engineering, with experience leading or mentoring teams
– Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including : Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake (Gen2), Azure Synapse Analytics
– Strong experience designing and managing solutions on Snowflake
– Solid understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration patterns
– Advanced proficiency in SQL
– Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts
– Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
– Experience with StreamSets for data ingestion and pipeline orchestration
– Exposure to near real-time or streaming data pipelines
– Experience working with cloud-native or Lakehouse architectures
– Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management
– Experience with Python or scripting for automation.
