Your new role

As Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cloud solutions that meet complex business needs. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure proposed solutions are delivering to client Business Objectives.
• Develop and document solution architectures that align with enterprise reference architectures, design standards, and client technology strategy.
• Work collaboratively with project teams, vendors and business stakeholders to clarify and understand requirements, design and implement technology and data solutions that are secure, robust and supportable.
• Conduct impact assessments and ensure reuse (and uplift) of existing platforms, patterns, and services where possible.
• Contribute to developing technology roadmaps and provide technical input into investment planning.
• Support architecture governance forums by preparing solution overview/design documents, presenting options, obtaining endorsements and documenting key decisions.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption pathways.
• Ensure technical solutions consider Vendor and client Architecture principles, including security by design, privacy, and compliance obligations (including VPDSS and SOCI).
• Provide technical assurance and design oversight throughout project lifecycle phases.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions across multiple technology domains (e.g. applications, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud).
• Hands-on experience designing within Azure Cloud and familiarity with modern data platforms, APIs, and DevOps practices.
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture methods and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SABSA).
• Understanding of IT governance, information security principles, and architecture assurance processes.
• Experience in the delivery of cloud-first and security-by-design solutions.
• Ability to balance business needs, technical feasibility, and cost considerations in solution design
