Associate Principal – Application Architect

Job Description

Role Summary

Lead application modernization and migration to Azure PaaS. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions while mentoring teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive application modernization and migration to Azure PaaS.
• Design solutions using Azure App Services, Functions, AKS, and containers.
• Analyze application architecture, dependencies, and integration points.
• Define migration strategies and perform performance assessments.
• Design Azure Landing Zones and target state architecture.
• Optimize application hosting on IIS and Azure platforms.
• Collaborate with Architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team (5+ members).

Primary Skills

• Hands-on web application development and Azure PaaS hosting.
• Strong expertise in Azure App Services, Functions, AKS, and containers.
• Experience with IIS configuration and optimization.
• Database connectivity and application dependency analysis.
• Experience in containerization and Kubernetes deployments.

Secondary Skills

• Azure PaaS troubleshooting.
• Understanding of migration frameworks and AKS basics.
• Ability to create and present solution architectures.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and positive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead teams.
