Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Your new role

– Provide transactional and technical accounting support to the finance team
– Process journals into the general ledger
– Month end balance sheet reconciliations (AP, AR etc)
– Clear open items (e.g. GRIR etc) at end of the reporting period
– Month-end closing activities and quarterly provisioning calculation
– Liaise with internal teams and offshore accounting support team to resolve queries
– Help to develop process improvements in the finance team
– Assist with projects to improve balance sheet management and controls

What you’ll need to succeed

– 3–5 years’ accounting experience in a medium to large organisation
– Degree qualified and studying towards CPA
– Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc)
– Proven technical accounting and analytical skills
– Experience with implementing process improvements beneficial
– SAP system experience required (or similar ERP systems)
– High level communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
