Job Description
The Art Director is a creative leader and problem solver, responsible for driving concept and creative output from brief through to delivery. They bring a strong point of view to every project while maintaining a practical understanding of how work is produced, adapted and rolled out at scale. The Art Director works closely with designers, copywriters, account management and clients — owning the creative quality of their projects and elevating the work of those around them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the concept and execution of creative work across TTL/BTL, digital, retail and social channels
- Develop through-line campaign ideas that work across multiple touchpoints and translate effectively into production and rollout
- Oversee the development of master artwork files, ensuring they are built to a standard that enables efficient adaptation across all required formats and sizes
- Take ownership of finished art quality and final execution across digital, print, retail and motion
- Present and sell creative work confidently to clients, articulating the strategic and creative rationale behind decisions
- Lead and direct designers on projects, providing clear, constructive creative guidance
- Collaborate with copywriters, strategists and account teams to develop integrated creative solutions
- Contribute to pitches and new business opportunities, bringing energy and creative ambition to every brief
- Champion production best practice within the creative team — understanding the downstream impact of creative decisions on rollout and delivery
- Work fluidly across Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong command of both environments
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Qualification in graphic design, visual communication or related field
- 4–6 years experience in a creative or integrated agency, with at least 2 years at Art Director level
- Advanced proficiency in Figma as a primary design and collaboration tool, alongside Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated experience leading creative projects across digital, social, print and retail channels
- Strong understanding of production and rollout requirements, with the ability to build and brief master artwork that scales
- Proven ability to present and communicate creative thinking to clients and senior stakeholders
- A portfolio demonstrating conceptual range, executional craft and integrated campaign experience
