Application Security Monitoring

Job Description

We are hiring a detail-oriented Application Security Monitoring & Analysis Analyst responsible for monitoring client-hosted applications, detecting security threats, analyzing incidents, and responding to alerts in real time. The ideal candidate will ensure application security, uptime, and proactive threat prevention.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor client-hosted applications for security threats and anomalies
• Analyze logs, alerts, and system activity to detect suspicious behavior
• Respond to security incidents and provide timely alerts to relevant teams
• Maintain continuous monitoring of application performance and security health
• Investigate security issues and perform root cause analysis
• Set up and manage security alerting and monitoring systems
• Coordinate with development and DevOps teams for issue resolution
• Maintain incident reports and security documentation
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in application security, SOC, or IT monitoring
• Knowledge of web application security basics (OWASP Top 10 preferred)
• Experience with monitoring/log tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to respond quickly to incidents and alerts
• Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a high-responsibility, alert-driven environment
  

Preferred Skills

• Cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc.)
• Experience with SIEM tools
• Familiarity with incident response workflows
• Knowledge of scripting (Python/Bash)
