Job Description

About the Role:

• You will undertake systems analysis, participate in development activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure all work aligns with QLD State Govt’s standards, practices, and change management procedures.
• Delivering high‑quality solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Performing analysis, design, development, and enhancement of Java-based systems.
• Conducting unit and integration testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Adhering to QLD State Govt. change and release management processes.
• Providing application support, maintenance, and technical advice.
• Collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful knowledge transfer and project outcomes

What you will need to succeed:

• Enterprise Java (Java 17 or 21)
• JSF, PrimeFaces, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Spring 5.x, Spring Security
• Hibernate/JPA, Maven
• Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock)
• Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
• Selenium for web testing
• Oracle SQL/PLSQL
• TomEE or Tomcat application servers
• Deployment to Unix/Windows environments
• Experience with continuous integration and quality-focused development practices
• Ability to design secure online services and web applications
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven capability in designing, coding, testing, and documenting large/complex programs
