Job Description

We’re looking for an Application Developer who thrives in high-stakes, fast-iteration environments. This isn’t a generic dev role—you’ll be tasked with designing and implementing user-facing features that directly impact how our clients interact with complex data systems in real-time. You’ll need to think beyond tickets and sprints. We want someone who can anticipate edge cases, challenge assumptions, and propose better workflows—not just build them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain interactive applications that process and visualize dynamic data, with a heavy emphasis on responsiveness and minimal latency.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate real user pain points into seamless interfaces. Your feedback will shape design—not follow it.
  • Engineer modular and reusable components using modern frameworks (React preferred), with a focus on state management and asynchronous flows.
  • Integrate REST and gRPC APIs, including designing fallback and retry mechanisms for variable network conditions.
  • Implement detailed logging, error tracking, and feature flags to support observability and safe deployment.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and drive discussions on performance optimizations, especially around client-server interactions.
  • Work closely with QA to develop integration test scenarios based on non-happy paths, not just standard flows.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in application development, including at least 2 years working on production-grade front-end systems.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript; comfort working with asynchronous code and closures is essential.
  • Proven track record with a modern front-end framework (React or Vue); experience with hooks and context/state containers required.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, browser rendering behavior, and front-end performance profiling.
  • Experience debugging complex integration bugs between services, especially with non-obvious symptoms (e.g. race conditions, memory leaks, auth caching).
  • Demonstrated ability to read a business problem and question whether the solution proposed is the most effective approach.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with WebSockets or streaming APIs.
  • Experience with mobile responsiveness that goes beyond media queries—thinking in terms of interaction context.
  • Exposure to real-time analytics, dashboards, or data-heavy front-end apps.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) where auditability and data integrity are non-negotiable.

What We’re Not Looking For

  • Code slingers who treat the back button as someone else’s problem.
  • Engineers who need fully scoped tickets to get started.
  • Developers who see UX as “not their concern.”
