Job Description

We’re looking for an Animator who doesn’t just move pixels—they direct emotion through motion. In this role, you’ll be crafting expressive, stylized animations that elevate storytelling, whether in character sequences, product explainers, UI flows, or immersive narrative shorts. You won’t be buried in a production line. You’ll be contributing ideas from concept to final polish, collaborating with writers, designers, and engineers who respect the nuance of timing, exaggeration, and rhythm. If you instinctively tweak an easing curve until it feels right—and can articulate why—it’s you we’re looking for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute emotionally resonant animations (2D or 3D) that enhance narrative intent, pacing, and tone.
• Collaborate directly with creative directors, illustrators, and voice designers to align motion with visual and audio design.
• Storyboard or sketch animation beats before execution—especially when working from loose creative briefs.
• Build and maintain a motion library and reusable rigs/components to accelerate production across formats.
• Adapt animation style across different brand voices while preserving core principles of motion design.
• Provide thoughtful critique and iterate with finesse when refining based on feedback.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in animation or motion design, ideally across both narrative and product-focused content.
• Demonstrable understanding of the 12 principles of animation, with an instinct for applying or subverting them based on creative needs.
• Strong proficiency in After Effects, Blender, or Cinema 4D. Experience with Figma and Lottie or SVG-based animation is a plus.
• Comfort with animatics, timing exploration, and non-linear storytelling.
• Ability to dissect complex ideas and translate them into short, impactful motion pieces.
• A reel that shows more than polish—it should demonstrate range, taste, and timing.
• Bonus if you’ve worked closely with engineers to ship motion for web or mobile, or have experience in interactive animation.
