Job Description
In the role of AI Data Scientist, you will join the AI COE team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.
In this AI Data Scientist role, you will:
- Build pipelines & gates, integrate evals into CI/CD; define release criteria; add canaries, shadow tests, and rollback triggers.
- Engineer runtime guardrails: collaborate to implement LLM judges, schema/constraint checks, deterministic tool wrappers, safe function calling, and policy enforcement.
- Scale assurance: optimise from heavyweight LLM judges to efficient SLMs or rule engines; introduce caching, early-exit checks, and progressive gating.
- Observability & drift: partner on telemetry, behavioural drift detection, anomaly alerts, and incident taxonomies.
- Hands-on delivery – contribute code, notebooks, and tests; use AI-powered tools to accelerate development.
- Partner closely with Product & Engineering: convert DS concepts into tangible platform features with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Proven experience in applied data science/ML with production exposure (LLM/agentic systems preferred).
- Hands-on building eval pipelines, automated tests, and runtime controls for AI systems.
- Experience working with cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS) and collaborating in cross-functional squads (product, engineering, risk).
- Practical knowledge of reinforcement learning, bandits, or feedback-driven optimisation.
- Familiarity with microservices, LLM/MCP gateways, and observability/telemetry for agent behaviour
