AEM Developer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :
– Design, develop, customize, and maintain Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) applications and components.

– Collaborate with consulting, business, and technical teams during different phases of the project lifecycle including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.

– Create functional and technical specifications based on business requirements.

– Develop reusable templates, workflows, components, dialogs, and services within AEM.

– Build and integrate front-end components using modern web technologies.

– Participate in solution architecture discussions and recommend scalable technical solutions.

– Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective resolutions.

– Configure and customize AEM workflows, content structures, and digital assets.

– Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate AEM with third-party systems and enterprise applications.

– Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

– Build Proof of Concepts (POCs) and evaluate alternative solutions and technologies.

– Support deployment activities, release management, and production support.

– Collaborate with QA teams for testing and validation activities.

– Contribute to organizational initiatives, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Technical Skills Required :
AEM Skills :
Strong hands-on experience with :

– Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

– AEM Sites

– AEM Components

– Templates and Workflows

– Sling Framework

– OSGi Framework

– JCR Repository

– Apache Felix

– Experience with AEM 6.x and AEM as a Cloud Service.

Front-End Skills :
Strong knowledge of :

– HTML5

– CSS3

– JavaScript

– TypeScript

– jQuery

– Responsive Web Design

– Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is preferred.

Backend & Integration Skills :
Strong proficiency in :

– Java

– Servlets

– JSP

– REST APIs

– JSON/XML

– Experience with Maven, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

– Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment tools is an added advantage.

Other Skills :
– Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

– Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and application monitoring.

– Understanding of DAM (Digital Asset Management) concepts.

Preferred Qualifications :

– Adobe Certified Professional/Expert certifications are preferred.
