Job Description

  1. Responsibilities
    • Financial Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
    • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and regulatory agencies.
    • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file taxes in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist with audits and respond to tax-related inquiries.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing and monitoring the company budget. Forecast financial performance and provide insights for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
    • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections. Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payments.
    • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances. Provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
    • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure financial operations comply with company policies, laws, and regulations. Assist in internal and external audits.
    • Software and Tools: Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) to record transactions, generate reports, and track financial activities.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, human resources) to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Provide financial information and support to management for decision-making.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) and strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take initiative to resolve financial discrepancies.
