Junior Civil Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Working with and supporting the project team in planning and management of project deliverables to ensure all project requirements are met as per Client timeframes.
• Maintain and monitor the projects progress including cost management, quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Compiling, implementing, and reviewing the Project Specific Plans and Procedures and other HSEQ documentation on site.
• Coordinate procurement for the designated work area including procurement of materials in adherence to the quality and schedule.
• Maintain document control registers and ensure the currency of the quality system.
• Ensure Suppliers and Subcontractors meet the project’s HSEQ standards and requirements on site.
• Analysing and reviewing results of inspections, incidents, audits, and NCRs to identify any trends which may be evidence of systematic failures and reporting them to management on how they can be addressed.
• Perform regular site inspections and write up progress reports.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience with Civil infrastructure construction projects – Experience in bridgeworks is highly desirable
• Experience in Estimating, Formwork, Steel reinforcement, Earthworks, Concrete and Excavation
• Well-developed skills in Cost Control, Planning, Scheduling & Subcontractor Management Experience
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding
• Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
