Job Description

Responsibilities

Product and UX design

  • Enhance end-to-end UX and UI design for PharmSight’s website and analytics products, design web applications/platforms, and data visualization experiences from user flows and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes
  • Partner with functional/product managers and subject-matter experts to define user personas, use cases, pain points, task flows, and experience requirements.
  • Work closely with front-end developers to ensure designs are technically feasible, accurately implemented, responsive, and consistent across devices.
  • Prepare detailed handoffs including design specifications, interaction notes, component states, responsive behavior, assets, and acceptance criteria.
  • Review implemented interfaces and provide quality assurance feedback against approved designs.

Website and digital presence

  • Lead the UX and visual design of PharmSight’s corporate website and future digital properties to build information architecture, page layouts, responsive design and interactions for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Improve website navigation, page hierarchy, content presentation, calls to action, conversion paths, and overall usability.
  • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to make technical and analytical content visually engaging, readable, and conversion oriented.
  • Support landing-page creation for campaigns, product launches, industry events, webinars, lead-generation initiatives, and thought-leadership programs.
  • Work with development and marketing teams to improve consistency between brand, website, product, and campaign experiences.

Brand, content, and marketing design

  • Help evolve and operationalize PharmSight’s visual identity across digital, print, and professional/social-media channels.
  • Lead the evolution of the PharmSight brand identity: visual language, color, typography, iconography and imagery. 
  • Create brand guidelines and a template library (Figma and Canva) so the team can produce on-brand social posts, infographics, brochures, whitepapers and email assets quickly.
  • Create polished marketing assets using supplied content, including LinkedIn posts, carousels, infographics, digital advertisements, email creatives, banners, brochures, one-pagers, capability decks, case studies, white papers, and event collateral.
  • Ensure all visual outputs meet a high standard of clarity, credibility, professional quality, and brand consistency appropriate for enterprise pharmaceutical and healthcare audiences.

Design systems and operating standards

  • Establish and maintain a scalable design system for PharmSight, including typography, color, grids, icons, UI components, chart styles, data-visualization conventions, templates, and brand guidelines.
  • Define standards for responsive design, accessibility, interaction design, visual hierarchy, and interface consistency.
  • Develop a consistent visual language across product interfaces, the website, presentations, collateral, and social media.
  • Stay current on design tools, UX practices, AI-enabled design workflows, enterprise SaaS design patterns, and data-visualization best practices.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor and train the Junior Designer through structured feedback, skill-building plans and regular design critiques.
  • Allocate and prioritize design requests across the team and bring in the Presentation Specialist for social and marketing production when needed.
  • Be the go-to person for design quality across everything PharmSight publishes.

Requirements

Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience with a strong portfolio will also be considered.
  • 7–10 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, product design, digital design, visual design, or a related role.
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product-design work, including problem framing, user flows, wireframes, UI design, prototypes, and final implemented interfaces.
  • Experience designing responsive websites and digital marketing assets for professional or enterprise audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, libraries, prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canva and PowerPoint, with the ability to create professional, high-quality presentation and campaign materials.
  • Proficiency with relevant visual-design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent tools.
  • Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, usability principles, accessibility, responsive design, and user-centered design methods.
  • Experience collaborating directly with front-end developers and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern web-development constraints. Ability to code is not mandatory, but design fluency in technical implementation is expected.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions clearly to non-design stakeholders, senior leadership, developers, and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail, visual craft, prioritization, and ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, consulting, data analytics, business intelligence, financial analytics, or other regulated/complex B2B sectors.
  • Experience designing business-intelligence dashboards or working with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or similar analytics products.
  • Understanding of SEO-aware web design, landing-page optimization, conversion design, and digital campaign design.
  • Experience with motion design, short-form video, animation, or tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
  • Uses AI design tools to speed up exploration and production
  • Familiarity with design accessibility standards, including WCAG principles.
  • Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment
