Senior BI Engineer

Your new role
As a Senior BI Engineer, you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery, operation, and optimisation of enterprise data platforms. You will be responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting data solutions that enable business intelligence, reporting, and analytics capabilities across the organisation.
Working closely with architects, project managers, developers, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of data platforms while ensuring alignment with architecture standards, security requirements, and organisational best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design, development, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise data platforms.
- Delivering data ingestion, ETL/ELT, reporting and analytics solutions that meet business requirements.
- Participating in project planning, estimation, technical design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Designing reusable data engineering frameworks, components, and patterns.
- Collaborating with architects and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic technology roadmaps.
- Contributing to data architecture forums and technical governance processes.
- Managing production support activities, including Level 3 incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Maintaining technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across technology, processes, and tooling.
- Working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
