Your new role

Reporting into a collaborative and high-performing team, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning and delivery of open space and recreation programs and projects
• Managing project budgets, procurement processes and risk registers
• Coordinating consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
• Attending and facilitating community consultation and engagement activities
• Preparing project plans, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Supporting the delivery of strategic open space initiatives across parks, gardens and recreational facilities
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed outcomes
• Providing technical advice relating to open space planning and project delivery

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience delivering open space, parks, recreation or public domain projects
• Background in urban planning, landscape architecture, project management or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience managing procurement, budgets and project risks
• Experience undertaking stakeholder and community consultation activities
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Local government experience will be highly regarded
