Senior Software Engineer – .Net

Job Description

The Role

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team responsible for both supporting existing backend services and building a new enterprise trading platform from the ground up.

You’ll be involved in areas including:

• Building and enhancing backend services and APIs
• Developing functionality across order entry, order books and trading workflows
• Working with complex, distributed systems and challenging technical problems
• Supporting and improving existing production services
• Contributing to technical design and architecture decisions
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Troubleshooting production issues and performing root-cause analysis
• Working closely with developers, QA and product stakeholders
• Helping shape engineering practices and technical direction
• Exploring how AI-assisted development can improve engineering productivity

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be maintaining legacy applications. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a new enterprise offering while also helping evolve established technology.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a strong backend engineer who brings:

• Extensive C# / .NET development experience
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals
• Experience building REST APIs
• Excellent understanding of clean, maintainable code
• Experience working with production-critical applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with automated testing and quality engineering practices
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your work
• A genuine interest in learning and working across different technologies

Nice to Have

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

• AWS
• C++
• Rust
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Event-driven or distributed systems
• Microservices
• Observability and monitoring
• Modern database technologies
