Software Engineer
Job Description
As a Back-End Developer, you’ll be responsible for development of the software systems that power our business unit. A hands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience to dive into code to deliver high quality, well-designed software. You will share responsibility for the quality of the software being built, including but not limited to; achieving desired business outcomes, meeting reliability and performance expectations and safely managing security and data privacy concerns.
You’ll Have
- 3+ years in a hands-on Software Engineering role
- Extensive experience building and maintaining backend systems using Java and related technologies
- Proficiency in API development, Service Oriented Architecture, Message Queueing, Event Driven Architecture, Microservices and databases
- Proven technology experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes
- A real passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement
- A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design
- Highly dedicated ethos – expected to take very real accountability for the work you’re doing
- Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others, and a passion to mentor junior developers
- Experience working with technical and non-technical partners
- A test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care
