Job Description
Reporting to a Head of HR, the main focus of the role will include:
- Recruitment and onboarding (including seasonal recruitment campaigns)
- Employee relations, modern award interpretation and advising on legislation, HR processes and policies
- HR administration including contract generation, HRIS management
- Managing any performance issues at store level and workplace investigations
- WHS and RTW administration, workers’ comp and wellbeing programs
- Lead on engagement surveys, strategic people initiatives with the Head of HR
- You will be expected to visit stores on a regular basis to develop relationships with employees and managers, providing advice and education on ER and HR issues.
- This role will have travel involved, so you must have a driving licence and access to a car
What you’ll need to succeed
- You will be an experienced HR Advisor who, ideally, has at least 2–3 years at advisory level
- You will be fully experienced in ER and performance management issues, and have managed end to end investigations
- You will be experienced in interpreting modern awards and advising on employment legislation in person and on the phone
- You will have worked in the retail sector or in a multi-site role/similar aligned industries such as QSR, Hospitality, FMCG or other customer facing brands
- You will have strong administration skills and enjoy recruitment and onboarding
- Knowledge of Workers Comp and RTW will also be desirable
