Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• System Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient foundational systems. Examples include:

1. Data Infrastructure: Forge the next generation of data systems to fuel our analytics
2. Cloud Infrastructure: Multi-vendor GPU capacity management and scheduling
3. ML Infrastructure: Construct the ML training infrastructure to enhance our AI researchers’ productivity, and inference systems to optimize the scalability and performance of our video GenAI.
4. Product Infrastructure: Create the foundation for HeyGen product

• Collaboration: Work closely with product engineers, AI researchers to deliver best performant systems.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor backend systems for performance, errors, and anomalies. Implement fixes and improvements as needed.
• Code Quality: Maintain high code quality through regular code reviews, pair programming, and writing unit and integration tests.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest system technologies and best practices to ensure HeyGen remains at the forefront of technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience working on scalable and performant systems.
• Proficiency in python or c++.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of API design and development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with Machine Learning Infrastructure especially computer vision.
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
