Database Administrator (MS SQL Server)

Corporate IT unit is looking for a Database Administrator (Microsoft SQL Server) to help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of critical database environments that support our global operations. Your influential mission. You will…

• Install, upgrade, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure backups and recovery processes are aligned with company standards.
• Implement improvements in database maintenance, security, and protection.
• Manage incidents, requests, and changes within agreed service levels.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
• Support both development and production environments.
• Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.

Components for success. You…

• Have 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Have strong experience with MS SQL and T-SQL.
• Bring expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Always-ON Availability groups.
• Posses strong understanding of DMVs, Extended Events, SQL Profiler, and Query.
• Have experience managing Azure-hosted SQL instances.
• Understand SQL backup and recovery strategies.
• Have solid knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Combine strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Take ownership of your work and can effectively manage competing priorities.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
