Software Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications that integrate data science models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement machine learning models, data pipelines, and analytics tools to support various business functions.
• Optimise software performance and scalability, ensuring robust and reliable systems.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering and data science.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Should have at least two (2) years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on data science and machine learning applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
• Experience with data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas).
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modelling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
