Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks
2. Build and extend WordPress sites and plugins, leveraging PHP, the WordPress REST API, and custom hooks
3. Diagnose and resolve performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility issues
4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers and strategists to translate wireframes into production-ready pages
5. Ensure responsive design and accessibility standards are met across all devices
6. Manage version control workflows (Git), deployments, and staging environments
7. Integrate third-party apps and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, analytics) into Shopify and WordPress
8. Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code and contribute to coding standards and best practices
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Hands-on experience customizing Shopify themes and developing WordPress sites/plugins
2. Strong proficiency in Liquid templating, PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS)
3. Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, plugin/hooks system, and REST API
4. Experience with Shopify’s Admin and Storefront APIs, plus app integrations
5. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, asset bundling, caching)
6. Comfortable with Git-based workflows and CLI tooling for builds and deployments
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects
