Junior Full Stack Typescript Software Developer

Job Description

Now we are looking for a Full Stack Junior TS Software Developer to join our team. You’ll write production TypeScript that real operators depend on every day.

What you’ll do

• Write, test, and ship production code across our stack.
• Partner closely with senior engineers and real users to solve big problems, fast.
• Turn specs into working features that make an immediate impact.

• Learn the latest best practices in AI coding and apply them to real features.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end.

Our approach to AI

• Clear.ai is an AI-first company. We use AI as a baseline way of working.
• We expect and train up everyone here to be fluent with modern AI tools like Claude Code/Codex/Cursor, agent harnesses, loops, and whatever comes next.
• Our bias is to ship same-day when we can, learn from real usage, and iterate fast. We would rather put something useful in front of operators this week than perfect a theoretical roadmap for next quarter.

What we’re looking for

• Around 2 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1 year hands-on TypeScript building production React apps across Next.js and Vite SPAs.
• Full-stack comfort in TypeScript: equally happy building the UI and the backend functions and data model end-to-end — not front-end-only.
• Experience with a reactive/serverless backend (document databases, serverless functions, real-time subscriptions) . Familiarity with TypeScript ORMs like Prisma or Drizzle is a plus.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: Git and PR workflow, automated testing (e.g. Vitest), strong static typing, debugging, and giving and receiving code review.

Nice to have

• React Native / Expo experience.
• Python / Django exposure.
• Interesting side projects, open-source contributions, or anything you’ve built and shipped yourself.
• An interest in logistics, freight, and customs. Prior domain experience is a bonus, not a requirement — but you should enjoy learning a complex operational domain.
